How to Choose the Right Roofer

Be cautious of roofers who knock on your door unsolicited claiming to have spotted damage — this is a common approach used by rogue traders. Instead, seek recommendations from neighbours or use a vetted directory. Check that the roofer is a member of the National Federation of Roofing Contractors (NFRC) or the Confederation of Roofing Contractors (CORC). Any good roofer should be happy to provide a written, itemised quote and will not pressure you to decide on the spot.
